<description>The problem with orcs is the orc Phalanx have legions
as adversary troop. And a lot of players prefer human
legions with good fighting capabilities in all terrain
except sea.

Also the orc Phalanx have adverse terrain in many
places.

The above makes the orc infantery bad.

Yes, the warg rider is good. Being beast as well as
cavalry but using wargs as infantery is pretty expensive. 4
warg cost equal to 6 legions and there fighting strenght do
not in any way equal the legions.

<description>Amazingly enough I have to disagree with both of you. Not that I am a particular fan of Orcs but Orc Wargs have no adverse terrain opposed to the other cavalry plus they have the beast advantage fighting these other cavs.
More often than not I have seen dwarves or elves get LC in their home which personally sucks for expansion against neutrals.

All in all I would say the races are pretty balanced.

On the alignments piece I can&#039;t agree about what is stated. Every alignment can aim for all possible victories again have the same advantages and disadvantages as other alignments.

On magic again disagree that EL and NE are the most powerfull ones. Every magic line is situational. ok Some lines might be easier to level than others.

All in all a nice attempt for a beginner&#039;s life line but after 2-3 games you will really have to have progressed past this article in experience.</description>

<description>I agree on Martin&#039;s analysis and especially on the hatered orcs race : It&#039;s really tough to get a good result when choosing an orc king. But i would also add that dwarves are difficult to handle too. It seems only human and elves are equilibrated races.

<description>In general I like this articel, but the headline promise to much in my opinion. &quot;Things well worth considdering when making a setup and playing ak&quot; would be more accurate.

I would drop the Orc considderation, since orcs is no good, having lot of adverse terrain and legions as nemesis is killing them. Make it a warning instead!

Why dwarves should have more benefits than other races in starting with DR I don´t understand. The argument about capturing an eagle province is not making sence. All can capture an eagle province before they get 3 DR and can controle the eagles.

Also I would forget the NE toughts, having more NE than an undead is not likely going to happen.

I think you could use a chapter regarding duels between enemy kings/heroes, benefits and risks, and the importence of having highest magic in that situation. Getting the king killed and the main army destroyed due to that event is the easiest way to a fast exit/victory.

I understand that writing this was not easy, there is a lot of views on how to play ak. What is importent enough to be mentioned and what is not? Keep up the good work!
