running games and finished games

Rick and Arnaud,
What about writting here a post about the games that are currently running and which one are in preparation. (even if for the one that are in preparation, rick, you have written some lines at the end of the home page)
I could update this post with your infos, but of course it’s better if a GM does.
infos that would be included could be following : number of game – GM’s name – current status (opening – running and turn number) – type of game – number of players (and names of players) – nature of the game (private or public)
A monthly update could be enough
Another idea would be to add to the dowload page the xk and se file of the winner for all finished games.

It would also be useful to have some static pages to point out how to join games – or even that it is fact possible to join games. Currently, it is not obvious that this is a site that even arranges games.

Hi Michael, I agree and it is something that I have been wanting to work on. Due to limited time I have not been able to do it yet. If you wish to volunteer I’d be more than happy to accept whatever you can put together for my front page. Otherwise it will have to wait until april at the earliest at which time I will be retiring and committing my time to my online biz’ and scaling up this site. Oh, and I cannot forget more time for golfing too.

Well, I had a bit of time so I quickly took my “About” page and added a bit of information and made it my frontpage. Hopefully this is better which should suffice until I can do a better and more detailed frontpage.

It’s good to have access to some more detailed info on the front page, but now the blog posts are only accessible via the Recent Posts and Archives page. Perhaps not ideal either.
Wish I had time to help out setting this up (I’ve done WP blogs a couple of times – including several of my own sites), but my time is really at a premium at the moment. Maybe at a latter date.

I agree with Strategy. A simple Forum format with some game sign-up functionality would be better than this Blog format I would think.
